May Magalhães is a Brazilian designer and visual artist, with a degree in Fashion Design and a postgraduate degree in Surface Pattern Design. Born in Rio de Janeiro and having spent much of her life connected to the Brazilian countryside, she has always had a close relationship with nature and the visual references found around her. Her work moves between surface pattern design, illustration, and decorative art, exploring mainly flowers, organic shapes, colors, and natural elements. She enjoys observing these elements and reinterpreting them freely, creating compositions that combine everyday references, memories, and imagination. Throughout her career, May has worked with brands and studios in Brazil and internationally, developing prints, illustrations, and visual projects across different areas of design.
