Veronika Obushikhina (b. 1976, Russia) is a contemporary artist based in Barcelona, Spain. Working across painting and video, she explores a reduced visual language built around form, colour, line and space. Her practice investigates how a few precisely balanced elements can shape perception and create spatial relationships. Rather than starting with predefined narratives, she develops compositions through visual inquiry, using minimalism to focus attention on the essential. Her work has been exhibited in Europe and the United States, including at MEAM in Barcelona. In 2026, she was selected for the Biennale di Chianciano and named a finalist of the OSTEN Biennial. She has also been selected for Rome Triennale 2027. Her work is held in the permanent collection of the Chianciano Art Museum, Italy, and in private collections across Europe and the United States. She completed her studies at the Institute of Mediterranean Culture in 2025.
